Jolo Guest Farm is a working beef farm situated within easy reach of the N3 motorway 450 kilometers from Johannesburg and 150 kilometers from Durban. It is close to Michaelhouse, Treverton, Weston College, Clifton, Hilton and St Annes schools
Jolo Guest Farm is in the middle of the famous Arts & Crafts route, The Midlands Meander. There are presently 180 members of the Meander representing over 200 business entities. The tranquility will be interrupted inter alia by the call of the Long Crested Eagle, the Jackal Buzzard, Crowned Crane and Fish Eagle.
Rosetta was an integral part of the Colonial farm pioneering boom of the mid to late 1800’s. Its future looked more secure in 1895 when Natal authorities built the Meshlyn Bridge and finally secured a place on the map a year later with construction of its still standing hotel. The Zulu and Boer wars battlefield sites and museums are a significant attraction and are situated close by.
On our journey to a zero carbon footprint during 2023 Jolo Guest Farm installed a solar power system. Our backup is a generator which we endeavour not to use.
